Clean your numbers so they don’t get marked spam
Phone carriers decide what shows when you call: your business name, Spam Likely, or nothing at all, based on what they have on file. Filing that record with the carriers and the spam-list companies they rely on takes a label off, and helps keep it off.
- Ten or fifteen minutes a month, against five or six hours by hand.
- Nothing to work out first. Which companies to file with, and what each one asks for, is already in here.
- A number on record stops looking like a stranger’s. That’s when people start picking up.
The automatic services reach one or two places, and a number here reaches a dozen or so
A phone number doesn’t have one reputation. It has a dozen or so. Every carrier and every spam-list company keeps its own, separately, and a filing at one does nothing at the others. Most of the automatic services we’ve come across work through one or two, and advertise the big three: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon. A number cleaned here goes on record with a dozen or so, US Cellular, Spectrum and Xfinity’s own network included.
We pay for one of those services today, on our own numbers, and it still comes up short. The dashboard says clean while a carrier still has the number flagged. That’s the other half of it. Something watching from the outside can only hand you its own opinion. Here you file with the carriers directly, so when a number does need fixing you can go and fix it instead of waiting to be told it’s fine.
Why are your calls getting blocked and ignored?
Some calls get blocked before they ever ring. Others ring, but the phone shows Spam Likely next to the number, and that isn’t a call people pick up. Some never show up on the other end at all.
The carriers aren’t wrong to flag it, though. They don’t have a record saying the business behind the number is real. What they see instead is a number making a lot of outbound calls with nothing on file behind it, and that’s a fair match for what spam looks like, even when it isn’t. Filing with the companies that keep that record is what gives them the rest of the picture.
Set it up once, then it’s a few minutes a month
-
Fill it out once
Your numbers and your business, entered one time. Nothing here asks you twice.
-
It gets filed everywhere
Each form opens already filled in from what you typed. Your part is looking it over and sending it. A few clicks per place, and nothing typed twice.
-
Check any number
Run any number, any time, and see where it stands.
A dozen or so places keep this record
Every carrier and spam-list company keeps its own record, separately, and each one wants its own form. We ran that whole list by hand, for years, before automating it. A full pass took five or six hours. Automated, it takes ten to fifteen minutes, short enough to run every month instead of once and hoping.

Numbers slip again
Call enough people and any number trips a false flag again eventually. That’s ordinary wear from outbound calling, not a mistake on your end. Being on record helps keep the label off. It doesn’t make a number immune to one, so when a fresh flag lands you run that number back through and clear it. How often depends on how much a number gets used. Monthly suits a number doing steady outbound calling; quarterly is enough for a lighter one.
You’re the one running it. Our part is the tools, and taking as much of the work out of them as will come out, which is why this is a small monthly charge rather than a large one. The pricing page has the actual shape of it.
“We built Number Tuner because we ran into this ourselves. Calls blocked, calls ignored, and no way to tell why. We tried the monitoring services first. They didn’t fix it. The only thing that actually worked was doing the paperwork by hand, with every phone company, so that’s what we did, for years.
I used to take half a day to do it once every few months. Now it’s a few minutes every month, and it’s easy.
My own answer rate is way better since. And because we’re automating what used to be a manual process, we don’t have to charge you an arm and a leg.”
